[comp.sys.mac.misc] Applescan Dimension problems.....

cs161fdx@sdcc10.ucsd.edu (Tod Kuykendall) (11/14/90)

Is this a bug or a feature?
When I scan on my Applescanner using Applescan I've been needing to
print at 25% or so to get a document that matches the size of that
scanned. The program says its setting the window to 1.5x2.2 inches or
something but instead it's about 8x11. If I scan at 100% the image comes
out too large to display on my 19" monitor. *8^O
When these images are opened by some applications (saved as picts)
they are sometimes the same as they appeared in Applescan but when opened
by QuarkXpress (I believe) they were the size that the scan said it was
going to print out 1.5x2.2 .
When I "measured" the window using the mouse pointer that was
clearly close to 8x11 it was indicating that the window was indeed 1.5x2.2
inches long and tall. ie I move the mouse 8 inches it would show 1.5
inches moved....
Is there anyway to reset these measurement units or am I missing
something????
Mac II, 8 megs, 68881 no PMMU, Dove marathonracer 100meg internal
800K floppy system 6.0.4, finder 6.1.4, multifinder v??.?

	Any comments would help....
