[comp.sys.mac.misc] MAC Questions???

MLADAIR@MTUS5.BITNET (Matt Adair) (11/15/90)

I am thinking about buying a Macintosh computer sometime in the near future.
Before I do, though, I would like to know a few minor things.
Could anybody tell me if the internal slot in the MAC LC (I know its not on
the market yet) will support an internal modem? Also, what kind of Comm.
software is there out on the market? I am looking for something to display
ANSI graphics, supports VT100/102 and it would be ideal if it could support
the 3270 series of color displays. I almost forgot, it should also be able
use the Kermit protocol. Also, could someone tell me if there are any good
music programs out there. I'm looking for something that I could print out
sheet music with, and also to enter music for the computer to play. They do
not have to be integrated into the same program, and the cheaper the better!
And one last question: can MACS display GIFS?

If possible, please E-MAIL replies to me (I dont read this group very often)

Thanx in advance, Matt Adair
I still like my Commodore C-128D

>>Mac Music Programs<<

There are tons of great Mac music apps avaliable-cheap? Deluxe Music
Consruction Set is probably about the cheapest I've seen (well under $100
I think). It will play back etc. but I don't like it much. Not many
options. If you aren't too picky about what you want everything to look
like
it will probably be fine. I use Finale, wich does everything,
and there is a cheaper "version" of it out called Music Prose.I think
that is going for around three hundred something. But it will transpose
chord
symbols,print postscript,read & write standard midi files-and lots more.
hope this is some help.
