I got the ten part HyperCard Stack from (128.195.1.1) and tried to unpack it on my machine. I failed. Stuffit's binhex extractor did recognize that the file was a Compactor file, but I got an "Unexpected end of file" error when I unpacked it. I do have one possible solution... the files were not saved in order (in other words, the files were `cat` into one file, but not necessarily in order). Could this be a problem? I tried to use the Binhex standalone, but it did not type the file correctly, so I figured it wasn't working. It took quite a while, but after I put it all together, it works just fine. It's huge (2.1 megs unstuffed) and consists of about 50 different sounds from the first five or so episodes. The Twin Peaks hypercard stack, which contains over 50 sampled sounds from the first season, has been posted on freebie.engin.umich.edu (141.212.68.23), in the directory /pub/twin-peaks. It's been compacted, binhexed, and split into four parts (the Compactor archive is self-extracting), each of which will fit onto a double-sided disk. Note that this is the same ftp site where TP gifs and sounds are being collected (at least until disk space becomes a problem -- then it's out of my hands).
