Hi, Can anyone who has ever successfully FTP'ed softwares from rascal.ics.utexas.edu please tell me what I have done wrong. Basically, this is what I have done... ftp>binary ftp>get somefile_sit_bin : : Then by running kermit on my Mac+ with file mode MacBinary, I downloaded the file somefile_sit_bin onto the Mac. However, there is always a requester saying that "The Resource fork should be # but is #2" ( where # and #2 are two numbers ). When I tried extracting it using StuffIt 1.5.1, the program crashed so miserably that I have to press the reset button. I never have any problem downloading from Sumex ( although the files there are all BinHexed ), and some other sites for a range of machines, IBM, Amiga, Atari...So I don't think there is anything wrong in the path from my local machine to my Mac. Please if possible, email me because I find it very difficult to keep up with comp.sys.*. Thanks in advance. :-) ------ Kang Ho LEE email : khl@doc.ic.ac.uk Department of Computing address: 180 Queens Gate Imperial College London SW7 2BZ, UK -- ------ Kang Ho LEE email : khl@doc.ic.ac.uk Department of Computing address: 180 Queens Gate Imperial College London SW7 2BZ, UK
