I am trying to get TOPS running on our IIfx's, but they all have more than 8 Megs of RAM and Start TOPS complains of an out of memory error. I know the extra RAM is the cause (since removing it causes evrything to work fine.) Anyone know of a fix for this (anyone hacked out a little INIT that causes TOPS to ignore the extra RAM at startup, and then restore to normal after TOPS is loaded. I'd be VERY grateful for any and all replies. Please e-mail--I don't normally visit this group. Thanks, Adam.

They may have an upgrade for TOPS. Also, keep your eyes on AppleShare. Version 3.0 will be released shortly and should change a lot of things. For instance, no more dedicated Servers! AppleShare servers will be workstations with server software running in the background under MultiFinder. Of course application priority can be set. AppleShare 3.0 is timed for release about the same as System 7.0. -- Uucp: ...{gatech,ames,rutgers}!ncar!asuvax!stjhmc!27!Joe.Bruni Internet: Joe.Bruni@f27.n114.z1.fidonet.org
