Curious if anyone knows whether the standard LaserWriter print driver can be used for an HP IIP with the AppleTalk and PostScript options? I assume that HP does not provide a driver. Thanks. Don Klett att!arch3!dsk (908)949-2283

They are supposed to use some advanced features available in the HP, and HP recommends using them. I however am using the apple drivers and have yet to have a problem. I would have used HP's right off the bat, BUT HP messed up bit time. I have a mixed net and want to select ANY printer available. By HP supplying drivers with the same name as apples, they both can't exist together. I've talked about modifying the names (so they can still be used, recognized, and co-exist with the apple ones) but haven't have the time to either accomplish it or get it done for me. al -- Al.
