[comp.sys.mac.misc] Problem with NCSA Telnet closing connections

roy@alanine.phri.nyu.edu (Roy Smith) (12/28/90)

	I'm running NCSA Telnet 2.3 on a Mac-IIcx with system 6.0.5 and
Multifinder, connecting to a Sun-3/50 running SunOS-3.5.2. The Mac is on
LocalTalk, and is connected to the ethernet segment the Sun is on with a
FastPath-2 running KIP. If I leave a connection idle for a while (say, an
hour or more, I havn't exactly pinned it down), the connection gets broken.
The window is still there while it is idle, but as soon as I activate the
window by clicking in it, it goes away. I'm running tcsh 5.9 beta 1 (Ohio
State) 11/10/88 Patch level 0 on the Sun. It feels like it's doing auto
logout, but I have "unset autologout" in my .cshrc file, so I don't think
that's it. Anybody have any ideas what might be going on?
