sjn@mahogany.cray.com (Scott Narveson) (01/05/91)
I'm posting this on behalf of a secretary here who does most of her work in a MAC II environment, using WordPerfect (a recent version -- 5.0?). She is occasionally asked to generate an "emailable" version of her documents, and doesn't know of easy ways to do this (she tends to save the document in mactext format, transfers the stuff to a Unix system, and then ends up doing a bunch of hand-reformatting in vi). I have precious little Mac experience, and so couldn't offer any suggestions to her, but it seems to me that there must be a Better Way of handling this "print as text" function than she's currently using. Can anyone offer suggestions? Sorry to be asking such a basic question that's no doubt been addressed many times before in the Mac groups; please direct me to the location of a FAQ list if one exists. Also, since I don't regularly follow this group, please respond by email -- I'll post a summary of replies if there's enough interest.
