I remember someone mentioning recently that you can format 400K disks with HFS by holding down some key when you format. Is this true? Alan

You have to either have the MacPlus or later ROMs (in which case, why not format the thing as 800K?) or the HD20 init, which implements HFS. -- Philip Machanick philip@pescadero.stanford.edu
