We have three Mac IIfx systems that take about 4 minutes to print a simple page of text to a LaserWriter II NTX over AppleTalk, and an additional minute to print the same page using EtherTalk. Printing from the IIfx on a LaserWriter Plus is faster, but still not nearly as fast as printing on the same printer from a Mac Plus, SE, or plain II. The same page prints almost immediately from the other Macs (Plus, SE, or II) to the LaserWriter II NTX. This appears to be a problem with the IIfx, not the networks. We've tried different machines at the same network location. The system software is all 6.0.7. We've tried printing from MS Word, Edit, and others. When printing via EtherTalk it passes a FastPath 3.0. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks, Jim Logan loganj@yvax.byu.edu loganj@byuvax.bitnet
