Hi netters,
I just bough a Mac IIsi (5MB, 80MB Harddrive, 13 High Res Monitor) and start reading
news. Everything is work great, but there are some confusion and questions for
these following items:
* What kind of printer (under $1300), preferable upgradeable to postscript, is
the most valuable on the market right now. What is QuickDraw system printers,
and how good this kind of printer compare to postscript (quality, speed).
* Do you have any suggestion for hardware of software that I can use for
ARCHITECTURE purpose (CAD-kind of stuffs)?
* Where and how can I get the White Knight program? Can I use this program to
transfer files between UNIX-based system (such as SUN Workstation) to my
computer at home via modem?
* What is the INIT file, Prefs files, and cDEV means?
* What are the most popular/useful/"must-have" shaweware program available,
and how can I get them?
* What is .signature, and how to make it?
Some of the questions are very basics, and I apologize if I posted it on
the wrong newsgroup (this is my first article! :-))
