[comp.sys.mac.misc] Multifinder and DA problem

jsnell@sdcc13.ucsd.edu (Jason Snell) (01/11/91)

Help! I have no doubt that this is a simple question, but I don't
know the answer...

when I run multifinder (on an SE with 4 megs of memory), I have a problem.
Whenever I pull down a DA, all I get is a beep sound. It won't let me
use DA's. When I run on finder, I'm fine.

This is really weird. Any help would be appreciated.

best,

jason

If you are running MultiFinder, you need to have a file in your system
folder called "DA Handler." This allows you to use DA's. You can find
this on the system disks that came with your Mac (or on whatever newer
version of the system you've acquired since you bought it.)
