I am looking for software that will allow NFS to be run on a Mac-Fx with a Kinetics fast path Appletalk-to-Ethernet bridge. A long time ago I used a package called TOPS that did this quite nicely. Unfortunately, I do not know who makes TOPS or their address. What I want to know is: 1. Who makes TOPS (is it still around and still called TOPS?) and what is their phone number. 2. Is there a better product than TOPS that I should be looking at? Who makes it. Thanks in advance. I don't have thier number as I have found better products. |> |> 2. Is there a better product than TOPS that I should be looking at? |> Who makes it. I found GatorShare to be better. However it requires you to switch from FastPaths to Cayman GatorBoxs. Also the GatorBox has many many options that the FastPath doesn't. GatorShare looks just like an AppleShare server. There are many products that run on a Unix machine that also look like an AppleShare server. One is U-Share but I can't remember who makes it. The advantage of a product like U-Share over GatorShare is that the Unix machine is usually faster, and the GatorBox is usually loaded with it's bridge duties. BTW GatorShare produces files on the unix system that are compatible with AUX. -- Have a day,
