[comp.sys.mac.misc] MacKermit Help

kanderso@liege.ICS.UCI.EDU (Kenneth Anderson) (01/16/91)

I need help trying to figure out what is going wrong with my version of
MacKermit. It is being very picky about what files it will transfer from
the computer at school to my computer at home! More often than not, I will
sit patiently during a file transfer and right when it is over I will
get two alerts right in a row, the first one will say something like...

Resourse Fork Mismatch: is 1309 should be 0.

I will click ok, and then it will display

Data Fork Mismatch: is 0 should be 1309.

In this particular case I was transfering a *.sit file and discovered that
the .sit file in question had nothing in it, that is, it took up 0k on disk.

Am I doing something wrong? I have MacKermit 0.98(62). I have the file
defaults set up to receive MacBinary.

I would really appreciate some help or comments....

Thanks in advance,

Ken Anderson

P.S. I would like to thank all those people who replied to my previous post.
