[comp.sys.mac.misc] Icon Colorizer and hard disk icon?

yee@osf.org (Michael K. Yee) (01/14/91)

I am running 6.0.7 on a 4-bit (16 color) Mac LC, and want color
icons and pointer cursor. I've tried SunDesk, but only my pointer
changed color. Then I tried Icon Colorizer, and my icons started to
appear in color. I have a few questions.

	1. Using the Icon Colorizer, I can get colored floppy disk icons.
But, I cannot seem to get a colorize hard disk icon. As a
matter of fact, I cannot seem to find the hard disk icon in
System or Finder. Question: Where is the hard disk icoh
stored, and how can I get it colorized?

	2. Why does SunDesk not work on my Mac LC? Is it because SunDesk
		uses icl8, and I only have 4-bits?

	3. How can I get a colorized color with Icon Colorize or by changing
the System or Finder? I am currently using the Color Cursor
		INIT.

	4. Does the pattern matching, that SunDesk and Icon Colorizer do,
happen once or everytime a icon is displayed?

	Thanks in advance,

	=Mike

One more question on icon colorizing:

Is there a program that converts icl8 to cicn?

	Thanks in advance,

While you are at it, check out a CDEV called Kolor. It will let you
colorize various parts of the mac display (windows, scroll bar, back
ground, and menu bar).

Another net toy to check out is ClickChange (or the similar but less
complete program called Personality). They allow you to customize just
about anything that displays on the mac screen, including animated
cursors in color.
