I've generated typeset articles (using PageMaker) and 35mm-slide presentations (using PowerPoint) on Macs here, and I'm very pleased with the results. In the research group I've joined, however, it may be difficult to talk my way into a new Mac (everyone else is using Sun 386i's and Intel '386 boxes). Does anyone out there have experience with document processing on both a Mac and on an IBM-type machine? I'd appreciate whatever comments I can get - I need to know if getting a Big-Blue-Wanna-Be will cost more in productivity than it saves in purchase price or ability to run some MBA's spreadsheet.
