This is partly a repost... but there is also more in it. I am trying to get the QM-Serial Gateway working with the QUE mail exchanger from a Mac using QuickMail to an Ultrix machine through a serial line. The transfer from the QuickMail system to Ultrix is flawless except for some cosmetic problems. However, I can't quite get Ultrix mail to upload properly. All mail sent to Mac QuickMail users from Ultrix gets sent to "Custodian" instead of the addressee. I have tried all sorts of combinations of the addressee name, such as all lowercase, capitalized names, underscore between names, spaces between names... nothing seems to work. The situation is sort of tolerable, in that the Custodian can just forward everything to where it's supposed to go, but it shouldn't be necessary to do this. Attempts to contact QUE's authors at MIT and QuickMail's support people at CE Software never get answered. So, if nobody out there can help, then I have an alternative: Can anyone recommend a different QuickMail-UNIX mail exchange facility? We'd really like to get this feature working soon.
