I request some help from any Retrospect users. I recently bought Retrospect 1.2 and a Relax Technology 150Mb tape backup system. Both function well except for one particular annoyance. Retrospect crashes/hangs when my After Dark 2.0 screen saver kicks in. I'm doing a multi-volume (disk) backup to tape. At the end of the last volume when Retrospect is updating the catalog, the system will crash/hang if After Dark kicks in. My only work around has been to disable After Dark before running my backups. Have any of you ever seen/heard of this problem? One other question for those of you who use tape backup systems. Where do you put your tape drive on the SCSI chain? Currently I have mine in the middle, between my 40 Mb removable and my CD ROM. Is there any performance advantage to having the unit at the end (terminating) the SCSI chain or have it "closer" to the CPU? Configuration: Mac IIci, 80Mb Internal HD, CD Tech CD-ROM, Relax Tech 150 Mb Teac Tape backup, MassMicro 45 Mb Removable (terminates SCSI chain). System 6.05, Finder 6.1.5, miscellaneous inits and cdevs. Any help would be appreciated. Please respond via e-mail, I'll summarize if there is enough interest. Thanks!
