[comp.sys.mac.misc] Abatron 8 bit scanner upgrade?

 I recently recieved a blurb from Abatron on their 8 bit
 upgrade for the Apple Scanner (for $495).  I inquired about
 this once before (about a year ago, I think), and it seemed
 as if the Abatron software was really bad - buggy and not
 user friendly.  Has anyone done this recently, and how is it
 working now?
