I have a situation where I need for Macs running 6.0.5/Multifinder/ LaserWriter 6.0.1 w/ myPageSetup 1.3 fix to add the disk file option to be able to print postscript files to a Unix printer. I have it working fine with SU-lpr but it only works for plain text files and generic postscript files. When I try to print a postscript file generated by the "Disk File" option in print, it does work. It seems that Apple includes AppleDict that is specific to Macs. Is there a way to generate plain postscript files on a Mac while running MultiFinder (the command-F and command-K options work when in Finder but not MultiFinder)? The command-F and command-K tricks *will* work under MultiFinder provided background printing is turned off (in the Chooser). >Mike McCann (803) 656-2721 Internet = mmccann@hubcap.clemson.edu -- David Walton Internet: dwal@midway.uchicago.edu University of Chicago { Any opinions found herein are mine, not } Computing Organizations { those of my employers (or anybody else). }

Ok, I'm a neophyte. What are the Command-K and Command-F thingies w.r.t. printing to files? Thanks! -- Ron Crocker Motorola Radio-Telephone Systems Group, Cellular Infrastructure Group (708) 632-4752 [FAX: (708) 632-4430] ...!uunet!motcid!crocker
