[comp.sys.mac.misc] Postscript Files

vinnie@pawl.rpi.edu (Matthew V Whalen) (08/14/90)

I am having problems transfering a Post Script file from a mac to
a vax running VMS. After transfering with Kermit, and trying to rpint
the file, the title page (for every printout) get printed then an error
comes up saying that the postscript file is ionvalid (or somehthing like
that). If anyone knows what the problem might be, I would greatly
appreciate it.

I want to ask a few questions about Postscript files:

1. Is there any applications out there that allow you to view a
postscipt image on a Mac Classic (9" mono monitor)?

2. Can you convert a postscript image to anther format, perhaps PICT
so that you can take the picture into a graphics program such as
SuperPaint, and from there manipulate it (for example cut and paste
   parts of it)

If there are applications that do this, can you tell me where to find them.
Also, if you reply, please send E-Mail - in that manner, I am more certain
of getting the replies.

				Thanks
