[comp.sys.mac.misc] Which compression program to go?

Hi, there,

My office is in a state of deciding on a compression software to
buy. Could anyone give me recommendations on the disadvantages and
advantages of following programs:
        1. StuffIt Classic
        2. StuffIt Deluxe
        3. Compactor
        4. DiskDoubler

I have used 1. and 2. and think that Compactor is faster and saves
more space after compression. But I don't know anything about the other
two. It was told (don't quite remember the detail) that You can use a
compressed file compressed by DiskDoubler without de-compress it with the
program first. Anyone has experience on that and how would you rate the
program with other 3 programs? Our office do not need any network jobs,
and all we do is to compress graphics jobs done on MacDraw, PageMaker,
Word, FreeHand.

You input is very much appreciated.
