I've had some companies explain to me just why 2 meg SIMM chips cost SO much
more than 1 meg SIMM chips, and I just ignored the fact that 4 meg SIMMs aren't
really much more than 2's, but I'm still looking for reasonably priced 2's.
Basically, 2 meggers are white elephants, so when you find a
manufacturer/distributer of them, they rip you off. If anyone can find me
reasonably (=less than $110, hopefully less than $100) priced 2 meggers,
please drop me a line. The LC only has 2 vacant memory sockets, and 6 would be
a perfect compromize of 4 and 10 megs.
