Maybe it was you vibrating!  Seriously.  Try this experiment.  Take a
fork, spoon, or tongue depressor and clench it firmly in your teeth. Tweak the
end while watching a Mac (or any other raster device).  Voila!  Wierd
vibrations.  It's the interaction of your small movements, your eyes which
can't follow the same, and the raster pattern of your Mac.
