Uucico chmods its dialout lines to rw-------. This is fine if uucp is the only thing using it, but a pain otherwise. The simplest fix is to make sure the lines are not owned by uucp unless they are really intended to be uucp-only. It would be easy enough to remove the chmod, but it isn't really worth the trouble.
