[comp.sys.mac.misc] Getting PostScript output

mjv1@quads.uchicago.edu (Michael Vinson) (11/07/90)

Is there a way to get a PostScript version of an MS-Word file? I
seem to recall hearing something about doing this from the Print
Dialog.

Thanks in advance.

Request for help from Mac gurus: I'm trying to get PostScript
files from MacDraw and Cricket by asking it to print and then
keeping the "clover-F" keys pressed down to force it to save a
PostScript file. I have 3 problems:

	(i) this does not work under multifinder, and

(ii) the generated PostScript does not have a
proper BoundingBox statement; it has ? marks instead
	of the numbers, as follows:

		%%BoundingBox ? ? ? ?

(iii) How does one get the PostScript header, with the Mac
specific definitions, which is needed to print out the
postscript file created with "clover-F"? I've tried
"clover-K" but can't even print the generated file as a
PostScript file (or view it with ghostscript..)

As you've probably guessed, I'm trying to use this to get Mac figures
into LaTeX documents. Any help along those lines will be greatly
appreciated. Please send mail to me directly at

because I don't normally get this newsgroup. Thanks,
