We are planning a psychology experiment using sound files and are
interested in finding out some details about Farallon's SoundEdit for
the Macintosh.

1) We need to initiate playing of a sound resource inside a Pascal
program, then time the delay until the subject responds by pressing a
button. Are there any known problems with this sort of timing, e.g.,
delay between sending the command and the actual start of the sound?

2) Is there a simple way to play 2 sound files simultaneously?
Presumably one file could play on the L channel and one on the R, but we
don't know how to do this. Might it be easier to just mix the sounds
together?

3) Any further references to good material about using sound would be
appreciated, as well as any willingness on your part concerning future
consulting on this project.

Thank you,
Peter Kruley
Arther Glenberg
