Here at the University of Saskatchewan, we would like to be able to protect LaserWriters from unauthorised access. We would like to set up certain zones so that people outside the zones would not be able to get in to use their resources, particularly the LaserWriters. But we still want people inside the zone to be able to get out to other zones' resources. We are currently using FastPath 4's, so any solution has to be compatible with them. If you have any good ideas about how to do page accounting for those people inside the protected zone, I'd be interested in those too (one lab here has CopyCards on their laser printers, but it is only half an answer). Please mail or post your answers; I will summarize if there is enough interest. Thanks Sheila ffolliott Dept of Computing Services ffolliott@herald.usask.ca (306)966-4834
