[comp.sys.mac.misc] MacInHebrew

Garance_Drosehn@mts.rpi.edu (02/06/91)

In a couple of posts I've made over the last few weeks (answering other
articles), I've mentioned that there is a new version of MacInHebrew available.
A number of people have sent me messages either asking for the information or
asking me to post the information into Usenet. Well, here it is.

From the postcard I received which announced the new version:

New! For Hebrew on the Macintosh.
		      MacInHebrew 4.0
Works on all macs, Mac Plus or better!

Comes with several Hebrew/English fonts; will support laser fonts. Works with
almost all word processor or graphics programs.

Cost is $60 for two disks, plus $5 postage and handling [I imagine those prices
are for US customers, other countries should probably write before sending any
money! -gad]. Total cost $65. Deduct $10 from that if you are a registered
user of versions 2.0 or 2.1.

That's about all I know about it. I sent for the upgrade (just last night...),
but haven't received it yet. Even if I did have it I only dabble with Hebrew
from time-to-time, so I couldn't really give a reasonable review of how well it
works. Version 2.1 (which I do have) worked pretty well with MacWrite, worked
okay with WriteNow, and didn't work very well at all with some other programs I
tried it on (I don't remember which ones, other than I can say those were the
only word processors I tried it with).

Hmm, what else should I say? Usual disclaimers, I guess. I have no
connections with MIT. This article does not imply RPI endorses the product (or
even knows about it). Your mileage may vary.
Etc, etc, etc...

I originally mentioned MacInHebrew)
