Hey guys, I'm not using my Mac II anymore and am interested in getting rid of it. I have the following: Mac II W/ PMMU and 5 megs Ram Apple Color Monitor w/ 8 bit video card Extended Keyboard Just 1 disk drive (My Hard Drive is dying...) I have bits and pieces of the manuals and system disks, but would be willing to make a new set part of the deal. I, however, do not have the original boxes... So I would have to deliver to you. I live in the Northern NJ area, but would be willing to drive system to you if you live near by. Oh yeah, I also forgot, system includes: Imagewriter II printer Packard Bell 2400 Baud Modem $3500/obo for entire system. Please respond to me here... Ward

Hokay, but I'll email this too. Sorry for the wasted bandwidth, folks... Tell you what. I'll start things off with an offer of $2000 for the entire system, minus the Imagewriter and modem. Why $2000? Since I have access to educational pricing, I can get a Macintosh IIsi 2/40 for $2915. Including 13" RGB monitor and keyboard. Comes with the one year warranty, a faster CPU, built-in sound digitizing, all the various IIsi features, and a copy of MacWrite II. And, with an Imagewriter II and modem, I'd be paying about $3500. So, think of it this way: $3500 Your asking price. -$400 I don't want the Imagewriter, modem, or associated cables. -$550 This is a rather conservative estimate of a decent hard drive is going to cost. -$600 Conservative estimate of AppleCare on the Mac II, video card, monitor, keyboard. +$120 You've got 3 more meg RAM. +$150 The cost of getting an FPU on a IIsi. -$50 System Software w/ manuals. -$50 Hypercard w/ manuals. -$50 MacWrite II w/ manuals. Leaves us right around $2000. And let's say that Mac IIsi features like an FDHD, support of portrait display, sound digitizing, and 32-bit clean ROMs balance out the extra ADB port and NuBus slots on the Mac II. Not to mention that the poor II can't even use 4 meg SIMMs. So, $2000. One grand to you before you send the system, and another grand to you after I get the system. I'll even split the shipping costs with you (I'm in central Ohio.) -- Jim Gaynor - Systems Analyst 1 + "This is Serious. He is Lost.
