One bug that can Aaffect any Unix system an d allow only root to login is if the root inode (/) has the execute buiit off for group and other. This toook me ak me 4 fhours to find one day, anfter a careless superuser had saidchmod 400 .* in the / directoruy. Everything apperared to be quite normal execept that all users had ENOEXECexec's failing righteach time. SBeware. Bill Jolitz.
