[comp.sys.mac.misc] Mac App 2.0.1 maintenance release

David_Anthony_Guevara@cup.portal.com (02/10/91)

I recently purchased MacApp 2.0 from APDA. I see in my January
issue of APDALog that MacApp 2.0.1 is now out (maintenance
release). It states in the product description:

"MacApp 2.0.1 is a maintenance release, containing some bug-fixes
to MacApp 2.0. MacApp 2.0 customers will automatically receive
an upgrade to MacApp 2.0.1"

Have any of you received the update yet? I have not heard anything
from APDA regarding the update. Do I need to contact APDA to get
this update? Thanks for any info you can give me.

MacApp 2.0.1 was released on ETO #2. However, we encountered some
problems when attempting to create the dedicated MacApp 2.0.1
CD, and it hasn't been created yet.

For more information, contact Tom Chavez at TOM.CHAVEZ@AppleLink.Apple.COM.

According to an APDA rep i spoke with today, MacApp 2.0.1 won't be
released; 2.0.2 will be available (and sent to all 2.0 owners) "sometime
in March or April" (her words).

Actually they found some kind of serious last minute problem. While I understand that 2.0.1 was released on ETO, the free issue to the rest of us will be 2.0.2.
