I tried to get help from a different newsgroup (comp.peripherals.printers), but didn't get an answer. We have received an Adobe Postscript cartridge for our HPLJ Series II but can't it to work. We have gotten a copy of the Asyncronous Laserwriter driver and think we have both the printer and the serial port talking at 19.2kbps. We are running MacOS 6.0.5 and Laserprep 5.2. Illustrator can load in a PICT file as a 'template' which sits
underneath your actual drawing so you can trace over it and such. It
comes with a program called DrawOver that takes a PICT files and
converts it to an EPS file.
