NCSA Telnet version 2.4 BETA 9 is now available on anonymous ftp from ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu. There have been LOTS of bug fixes since the 2.4 BETA 8 release, such as telnet crashing under VMS full-screen editors, not sending <esc> O M when you hit the enter key, some name-resolver problems, etc. Note that this is probably going to be the last beta before final release, unless there are major problems that we are unaware of at this time. If you are a serious user of NCSA Telnet, please take the time to verify that this new version works as expected. And as always, please send all subsequent bug reports to telbug@ncsa.uiuc.edu.
