I am looking for some recommendations for both hardware and software requirements for a "blow out" presentation involving color, sound, slides, and videos for the macintosh computer. Currently, we are looking for an interface through Super Hypercard that will allow color, full screen, and sound. If there is something better, let me know. Also on order is a touch screen, for our interface through SH Card. For slides we have Aldus Persusion (enough said, it works great), but what about for video, almost getting into the renderman area??? Interested in software and hardware requirements. Anyone know what type of disk space is needed for large quantities of digitized voice?? ---- The idea, is to present data contained in a large database in a why that will allow some 400-600 people to play with the computer while making the presentation unique and meaningfull. This is why sound, color and video are needed. -- Neil Greene --- University of Kentucky Mathmatics and Sciences University of Kentucky Computing Center neil@s.ms.uky.edu & neil@graphlab.cc.uky.edu (NeXT Attachments)

I happen to have a whole song on my hard disk which is digitized. It is about five-six minutes long (I have not timed it) and takes 4.2 megs if it is stored in the compressed sound format. If it is stored uncompressed, it takes 5.3 megs. I hope this gives you some ideas about the size of digitized sound which is stored on the Mac. BTW, it was digitized at 11khz in stereo with a device similar to a Macrecorder. -- -Dave Slotter ____ tdslotte@mcs.drexel.edu - I speak only for myself. / / / / Secretary, The DUsers - The World's First Mac User Group
