Hi, I was wondering if there is any Public Domain software out there which will enable me to convert my MS-Word files (on the mac) to WordPerfect format (for the PC). I have a number of styles and PICTures, and dont want to loose them Thanks in advance. viraf bankwalla. viraf@seas.gwu.edu ...!uunet!gwusun!viraf

This is not a problem: Just get a copy of WordPerfect for the Mac (it can read Word 3.x files) and save the file in WordPerfect PC 5.0 format. Or you can save your word document in MS Word PC format, transfer it to the PC and read the Word file with WordPerfect. Then there at least three outstanding converting applications for the Mac which easily allow you to do that. Gary Gary T. I have a friend who owns a translation business. He asked me to post this in hopes that someone had the answers to his questions. He wants to know if there is a Russian version of Microsoft Word? Also, he has a friend that translates English -> Russian for him on the East Coast and then faxes (to the West Coast) him the translation and he has to type it in himself. Is there a way to (using a modem) send the files from Coast to Coast rather than faxing them, even if the translation is done on an IBM using Wordperfect and my friend on the West Coast owns a Macintosh with Word v4.0?
