I spoke to an Apple dealer today who attended a dealer unveiling yesterday for Apple's new bubble-jet and laser printers. The bubble-jet is based on Canon's 10e printer with apparently some improvements. Resolution is 360dpi and it is very small. Unfortunately also very slow: 1/2 ppm. The laser is a quickdraw printer which replaces the SC. It is also smaller. Both have TrueType fonts. Suggested list price is: $795 for the bubble-jet and $1699 for the laser. Those are Canadian dollars. Price cuts will also be made to the whole line of Apple laserprinters. The dealer also said that System 7.0 is to be released in 90 days and it's terrific, but it will cost something like $200.
