[comp.sys.mac.misc] Appleshare question

long@mcntsh.enet.dec.com (Rich Long) (03/12/91)

I recently networked two Macintoshes, and am using a copy of SingleShare (AFP
 server) on both. I find I can't cross-mount disks (i.e. Mount A's disk on B
and B's disk on A), which the documentation for SingleShare also states. Is
this a limitation of the protocol, or of SingleShare? Does anyone know if
System 7's Personal Appleshare will have this problem?

 Thanks,

File Sharing in System 7 does NOT have this problem. Two machines with shared
volumes can "cross-mount" each other's disks.
