I tried to use the INIT open-wide version 1.3, a neat hack that is supposed to widen the open-save standard dialog so we can get to see the long names of file, but it doesn't work. I am using a IIci with system 6.0.7. Anyone had better luck with it? I really like the concept. -- ============================================================================= Arie Covrigaru | University of Michigan AI Lab Phone: (313)763-1255 | Room 149, Advanced Technology Bldg. In my original posting about open-wide not working I failed to mention that it works on Mac II and IIx but not on IIci and IIsi (that is what I have tested it on). My assumption is that it is the 32 bit ROM that makes the difference. -- ============================================================================= Arie Covrigaru | University of Michigan AI Lab Phone: (313)763-1255 | Room 149, Advanced Technology Bldg. Well Open-wide seems to work on my Mac LC (32 bit ROM).

I believe that the open-wide docs say that it will work if applications obey certain rules, which if course isn't always the case. When it's working, there's a little "open-wide" message just above the upper left hand corner of the scroll box Larry Strollo strollo@ssd.kodak.com -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Larry Strollo strollo@ssd.kodak.com (716) 726-0901 Integration & Systems Products Division Eastman Kodak Co Rochester NY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
