I'm not sure where else to put this question, but since I've got your attention, here goes... I have a portable hard drive (a LaCie Cirrus 40 Quantum) that I use with my Mac. I'm flying back to Washington, D.C. in a week or so, and I need to take the hard drive with me. Now here's my query: if I take the hard drive with me on the plane as carry-on and thus through the security x-rays, will the x-ray radiation damage the data stored on the hard drive? Please respond via email. Thanks in advance! Christopher Smith St. Olaf College, Northfield MN Internet: smithc@stolaf.edu
