I would like to know if there is a freeware, shareware, or commercial product which does printer accounting. Upon printing a document, part of the dialog would ask for an account number or name, and file an entry away somewhere (i.e. to a text file), which indicated the account and the number of pages printed. The idea is to have an accounting of printer usage. Note that I'm not concerned with security (of the accounting information), or tabulation, just recording. Also, I'd like the entry to indicate which printer was printed to (i.e. via Chooser). Please send e-mail or post if you know of such. Thanks! Joe Touch touch@cis.upenn.edu
