I had a strange experience trying to print HyperCard cards on my
DeskWriter, and I wonder if anyone has a clue as to what's going on.
The configuration: SE/30, 2 Meg RAM, SuperLaserSpool and some other INITs,
DeskWriter (non-AppleTalk).
I wanted to print cards at full (9" screen) size, two to a page. What I
got was every *fifth* page printed with four blank pages in between them.
The pages that did print looked fine, but it was only 20% of what I
wanted, and a lot of blank output! Enabling/disabling SuperLaserSpool
made no difference.
Now, this stack was created and previously used on a Mac IIcx (and before
that, a Plus) and printed just fine on a LaserWriter. This was the first
time the stack had been run on the SE/30. In fact, I had to borrow a copy
of Hypercard 2.0 from the IIcx to run the stack on the SE/30.
Anyone got any clues? I suspect the DeskWriter driver (I've had it about
a year now) just isn't up to the job. Is there a newer driver I can get?

Re: HyperCard and Deskwriter problem. I'm not sure why your printer is deleting those pages from your printout. But I do know that is is a new printer driver available for the DeskWriter. Version 2.1 can be d/l from utils in sumex-aim.stanford.edu. Alex.
