Several people sent me suggestions on how to digitize and edit sound from the IIsi's sound input I/F. Most people suggested that I should use the "Audio Palette" supplied with the HyperCard 2.0. Unfortunately, Apple's distributor in Finland hasn't yet released HC 2.0 here, so that option isn't available to me (at least, for the moment). There was also some information on a new version of SoundEdit which would recognise the interface. Thanks to all the people who sent answers to my queries! Pertti Here are the answers I got: --- Gabriel Michael Kraljevic <kraljev@ccu.UManitoba.CA> wrote: I'm not sure how it would be in Finland, but in the loads of documentation that came with my IIsi there was a coupon for the "Audio Palette". This is a sound editor that allows you to modify your recorded sounds for use in Hypercard. I'm not that sure, but maybe SoundEdit will allow you to changes Hypercard sounds into .snd files? --- cfranz@iiic.ethz.ch wrote: pertti, get soundedit vers. 2.03. this version does see the internal mike. cheers, christian. --- "Jeffrey T. When I am done with the sound, I quit Hypercard, and move the sound out of the stack into whatever file and format I want with SoundMover. Sure it's a bit of a longer process, but it does what I want and I didn't have to muck around for any other programs. --- Jerry R Hughson <hughson@cis.ohio-state.edu> wrote: Hi, Did you get the audio pallete that goes with Hyper Card? This lets you cut, copy, paste the sound. Just use ResEdit to yank the sounds out of HyperCard and put them where you need them Hope this helps. 00R (double 'o' R) hughson@cis.ohio-state.edu jhughson@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu ps if you find another pd editor please send it or info on it to me! --- -- Pertti Kivela !
