According to ResEdit Reference, Pig Mode is a "special stress testing mode",
where memory compaction and purges happen on every event except nulls.  
"It is suggested that you avoid invoking this mode unless you are writing 
an editor and need to stress-test it."

speaking of which, could someone email me the resedit documentation?
(if it's a file, of course)  the version i have didn't come with it.
