I just thought I post to out a possible problem between LaserWriter 7.0
and OzTeX, and to ask an OzTeX question.
1) For those who use OzTeX, I have discovered that LaserWriter driver
7.0 does not work when creating PostScript files to upload for
printing on LaserWriters hooked into Unix systems. LaserWriter 7.0
has no corresponding LaserPrep file, so you can't use macps to print
your file through the Unix system. While in the OzTeX print dialog,
if you check the box that says to include the LaserPrep file, the
OzTeX outout does get larger, as if something extra has been included,
but when you try to print on the Unix end (with cat filename.ps | lpr)
the LaserWriter chews on it for a bit and then gives up, no output.
I have not found a workaround for this problem yet, so I have reverted
to LaserWriter 5.2.
2) Has anyone figured out how to view dvi files at 72 dpi on OzTeX 1.3?
The font files have appeared to changed from what is mentioned in the
installation instructions and I am clueless as to how to set up the
fonts (or which PK files I need) to make the 72 dpi dvi viewer happy.
All I get are messages saying that it cannot find the fonts. I am
only using the computer modern fonts supplied with dvi2img (sp?).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.
