I have the oppertunity to buy a Mac IIsi through my University at a discounted price, including a load program, apparently through Apple. I have two questions concerning the system I had in mind. First, I was seriously considering buying A/UX for the Mac, any comments on this operating system as compared to System 7.0 or earlier releases (I am under the impression that System 7.0 has not shipped yet). Also how does it compare to standard (Berkely) Unix? Question two may not belong here. I have also considered buying a used Sun 3/60 or 4/110 (< $2500). Any opinions from those knowledgable in both systems as too which may be better? Applications include possible heavy graphics use, private software development, and minor text processing.
