There is a magic keyboard grip that you can use to divert a print job from the printer into a file. The file will contain the postscript commands for the printer. I just can't remember what the keys are. Command-shift F Command-option-K How does it go? Matt

Thanks (and please stop). Imediately after klicking on the OK button in the print dialog, and before the "looking for laserwriter" message is displayed you press and hold either the f or the k button. If you press k the resulting file will also include the laser prep header. If you press f you won't. Command-f and command-k also give the same effect. The created files will be named postscript0 thru postscript9. This only works if the background printing is disabled in the chooser dialog. For more than you ever wanted to know on this subject, see the file "generating postscript" in the Tips directory of Sumex. Matt
