I have been having many problems with Mac SI. To begin with, I had to take it into the shop because a chip went bad on the Conner 40 meg hard drive. The guy at the shop told me that a bunch of Conners had been sent out with Mac SI computers that had bad driver chips, and he replaced it with a nice new Quantum 40 for me. What I want to know is why, if they knew there was a bad chip, did they not let out any sort of statement to people with SI's that if they had a Conner drive, to come in and get a new drive? I could have had some vital information on that drive, and I wasn't too thrilled even though I didn't have vital information that I had to give up my computer for a few days, and lose what I had on there. Secondly, I just brought my SI into the shop AGAIN, this time because it thinks that I have an external floppy attached, and that I have inserted a high density disk into it. What happened was that about every second it would ask me if I wanted to format the disk or eject it. After some tests I ran, I determined that it had to be something in the hardware. When I brought it into the shop they told me they'd seen the problem before, but they REFUSED to tell me what it was that was doing it. The lady who handled it kind of scolded me telling me that it was my fault. Has anyone had this problem too? Is my computer possesed?
