[comp.sys.mac.misc] fancier Finder operations?

Are there Finder extensions, INITs, or whatever that do the following:

1. Change file copying so that instead of asking if files with the same
named should be replaced, ask if more recent versions of files with the
same name should be replaced (and not replace older files at all, unless
explicitly dragged or something).

2. Change the command-I (Get Info) file menu item so that the type and
creator of the file can be seen and changed (such as what is provided by
DiskTop, ResEdit, and some editing applications).

3. Change the command-O (Open) file menu item so that the standard file
open dialog is run, as opposed to duplicating what a double-click does.
This would allow, for example, Super Boomerang to be run directly from the
Finder, to search for files, and the like.

4. Assign the application to open files of type TEXT regardless of the
creator (I know about HandOff, but it's overkill for this single use.)

Thanks for any pointers.
