One of my friends has a Mac Plus with an external hard drive. The hard drive died this week and needs to be replaced. Before the hard drive died, she had already decided that she needed more memory. She is now wondering whether it would make more sense to sell her Mac Plus and buy a new Mac instead of repairing and upgrading. It seems to me that a large factor is how long a Mac Plus can be expected to last. So, my first question is: How many years can you expect reliable service from a Mac Plus? The second question is: How much money can you get for a Mac Plus nowadays? I imagine it is not much, but how little is it? Please respond through e-mail. Todd Fine fine@sctc.com
